Who are TER & what is their relationship with Ifor Williams Trailers?

TER’s is an independent organisation, and their mission is to combat plant theft and fraud in the UK and Europe.

Your new trailer will be registered on the Ifor Williams Trailers registration system by the Approved Ifor Williams Distributor responsible for the sale of the trailer to you.

When your Distributor registers your new Ifor Williams trailer it is automatically registered with TER (The National Plant and Equipment Register).

It is important that your precise address and postcode is uploaded to the registration system to minimise delays should a theft occur.

All police regions have rapid access to the TER team who are able to identify ownership status of all registered Ifor Williams trailers.

Insurance companies also work closely with the TER team to identify ownership status of all registered Ifor Williams trailers alongside recovering and re-uniting owners with their possessions.
