Position: CNC Machine Centre Setter Operator - Ty’n Llidiart

Permanent Roles Available: 5

Location: IWT Ty’n Llidiart, Ty’n Llidiart Industrial Estate. LL21 9RR.

Salary:

Up to £36,382.32 per annum

Summary:

  • 23 days holiday per year including Bank Holidays and Christmas Shutdown. 

*Candidate will be trained to run machining programs, change tooling, complete routine maintenance checks, compete part changeovers, operate supplemental equipment and use CMM & measuring equipment. Company training retention clause applies, full details will be available at interview stage.

Shift Patterns Available:

  • Celyn Nights: Monday to Thursday 6pm - 6am

More Details:

Turning Centres, Turret Punching Machines, CNC Press Brakes.

To use, operate and set up automated dual turret CNC machining centres in a high precision & high volume production process.

You will be situated at our world class components manufacturing site in Corwen with over 50million pounds worth of state-of-the-art machinery. You should have previous experience of running and setting CNC Machinery.

This role will be reporting directly to the Team Leader and has a three month notice period.

Key Maintenance CNC Operator Responsibilities:

  • Follow Safe Systems Of Work.
  • Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures & process control systems.
  • Pride in quality of work and workplace.
  • Auditing and Control of Consumables.
  • Read drawings & measure parts to drawing tolerances.
  • Use of Co-ordinate Measuring Machines & measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of CMM measuring & SPC would be an advantage
  • Make adjustments & corrections based on measurement data.
  • Set up & replace tooling.
  • Complete routine machine maintenance activities.
  • Loading & unloading parts from input & output conveyors.
  • Use of supplemental equipment including engraving, flaw detection and hydraulic pressing.
  • Contribute to a culture of Continuous Improvement & Safe Working.
  • Communicate well with colleagues on alternative shifts, conduct thorough handovers and highlight issues to site management team.

Person specification & character traits:

  • Self-motivated & conscientious.
  • Reliable & punctual.
  • Ability & drive to root cause & prevent reoccurrence of faults.
  • Good IT skills and quick to learn new skills on CNC Systems.

Knowledge of Siemens CNC & G code programming would be an advantage.
