Location: North East Wales


£25,000 - £28,000 per annum


  • Working hours: 8am - 5pm (Monday to Friday)

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with a proven track record in a manufacturing environment to monitor the safety and quality standards of our products and procedures to ensure that they meet our customer requirements. To be successful in this role you will able to act as an auditor for all of our internal systems, identifying issues and proactively recommending solutions. You will be familiar with using KPI’s and data to identify root causes of issues and work with internal teams to resolve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out internal audits of the Business Management System.
  • Support the Quality Manager for external audits of the Business Management System.
  • Drive root cause corrective actions to any process nonconformances found during internal or external audits.
  • Monitor and control Quality KPI’s to drive continuous improvement through action plans.
  • Identify and manage nonconforming products and materials
  • Liaise with external suppliers on material quality issues and ensure root cause corrective actions are put in place using a structured 8D process.
  • Liaise with internal departments on identified product nonconformances and drive corrective actions to eliminate.
  • Support Purchasing with Invitation to Tender initiatives, supplier selection, and sample approval from a supplier quality perspective.

Key Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of ISO9001 or similar Business Management System
  • Internal Auditor training and auditing experience
  • Analytical with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Right First-Time approach
  • A recognised Quality qualification is desirable.
  • Degree Engineering qualifications and/or background is desirable.
