The 2000 Sir Roland Burke Perpetual Challenge Machinery Trophy
The Royal Agricultural Society of England has awarded the company the prestigious Sir Roland Burke Perpetual Challenge Machinery Trophy.
The RASE's premier machinery award recognises the outstanding and sustained contribution made in a particular sector of agricultural mechanisation by a firm with manufacturing facilities in the UK.
Immediately following the official opening of the show, the trophy was presented by Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra to Mr Peter Leslie and Mr Gwynfor Hughes, the company's Technical Marketing Manager and Sales Manager respectively.
In addition to the company's trade stand (Stand No. F199), visitors to the show were able to view some of the company's products on a stand provided by the RASE for the trophy winner. The display included a general purpose trailer produced in 1965. The serial number of 795 indicates the company's total production of trailers in the first seven years of operation. At today's production levels it would take little more than seven days to produce that number!
